Sarah has been training mental health professionals for over 18 years, initially along side Pia Mellody for 10 years, on Pia Mellody’s trauma treatment model Post Induction Therapy (PIT) sponsored by Meadows Behavioral Health treatment centers in Wickenburg, Arizona and throughout the United States. Sarah has trained more than a thousand therapists in hundreds of five -day long introductory and advanced trainings on the PIT Model.
During her initial 10 years of training other clinicians, Sarah had the honor and privilege of being closely mentored and coached by Pia Mellody MA, a true master and leader in the field of addictions and the treatment of childhood relational trauma. For the next 7 years, as a Senior Clinical Advisor at Meadows Behavioral Health (MBH), Sarah was the primary trainer of the PIT Model to both the therapists at MBH, as well as, therapist across the United States and around the world after Pia Mellody retired from training.
The PIT Model provides a clear and effective road map for both the clinician and the client to the treatment and resolution of childhood relational trauma. It is a treatment model that integrates many psychological principles and theories, as well as, offering some unique psychological concepts that assist in the resolution of trauma in a more effective and timely manner.
Announcing Upcoming 2025 Trainings
Sarah Bridge, LCSW,, along with her colleague Kathleen Geiger LPC will be offering a new comprehensive therapist training on the treatment of attachment and developmental trauma using experiential and educational techniques they have learned and used over 70 years of combined experiences as clinicians. The theoretical influences incorporated into this training include the PIT Model, Attachment Theory, Family Systems Theory, Somatic Experiencing, and Internal Family Systems.
Level 1 – 5 day Introductory Training focused on theoretical influences, assessment, treatment goals and planning and explanation and live demonstration of experiential practices and techniques. There will also be a practicum portion in which clinicians will have the opportunity to both experience and practice experiential client interviewing/debriefing techniques to assess developmental trauma.
Level II – An advanced training on experiential trauma work with direct and active individual coaching by the trainers on the implementation of experiential trauma work techniques.
